Meet Nancy Owyang, founder and designer of Neco Bags LLC. At Neco Bags LLC, our story starts with something many of us know too well—the overwhelming pressure of trying to do it all.

In 2017, I was a mom of two young kids, supporting my dad through cancer treatments, and running a graphic design and branding business I had built over the past decade. Life was heavy. Like so many women, I found myself being pulled in all directions, trying to care for everyone else while pushing my own needs aside.

Something had to shift.

I began sewing as a form of therapy—small moments of creativity that brought calm and clarity. That’s when the idea sparked: what if these handmade bags could help not only me, but others too?Around the same time, I was becoming increasingly frustrated with all the single-use plastic in our daily lives—especially as a parent. I wanted better options that were functional, stylish, and aligned with the kind of future I hoped to leave for my kids.

Neco Bags LLC—originally named Oh My Heart Handmade Gifts—started with one simple goal: to create beautifully crafted, sustainable bags for real-life people like you—people who care deeply about the planet and want everyday essentials that reflect their values without sacrificing style.
