Best Care Practices

Foodie Bag Care

To keep your snack bags fresh, clean, and ready for reuse:

1. Shake it out
Turn your bag inside out and shake out crumbs over the kitchen sink. If anything’s sticky, gently scrub it off.

2. Wash with care
While still inside out, toss the bag in the washing machine with like colors—ideally with items that touch food (think cloth napkins or dish towels).

3. Use the Right Detergent
Choose a zero-residue liquid detergent (avoid powders). DO NOT use bleach. If absolutely needed, a non-chlorine oxygenated bleach without sodium percarbonate may be used sparingly. DO NOT add washing soda, soda ash, soda crystals, vinegar, or baking soda—they can damage the waterproof lining. DO NOT use fabric softeners.

4. Choose warm water & Extra Rinse Recommended
Wash on a warm cycle for the best clean. Run an extra rinse cycle to ensure no detergent residue remains. Even tiny traces of detergent can reduce the life of the waterproof laminate.

5. Dry completely
Hang dry or machine dry on medium, keeping heat below 130°F (50°C). Skip dryer sheets or fabric softeners. DO NOT iron or wring out the film side. Avoid extended sun exposure—urethane film can yellow or crack with too much UV (this can happen in as little as 10 hours in strong sunlight).

Zip 'n Go & Wet Bag Care

To keep your waterproof lined bags fresh, clean, and ready for reuse:

1. Shake it out
Turn your bag inside out and shake out sand, dirt, etc. outside. If anything’s sticky, gently scrub it off.

2. Wash with care
If out on an adventure, rinse best you can in a sink and then wash when you return home. While still inside out (lining pulled out), toss the bag in the washing machine with like colors—ideally with items that make sense to you to wash with the item, towels, lightly soiled clothes.

Vegan Handbag Care

To keep your vegan handbag looking its best while maintaining its eco-friendly charm, follow these simple steps:

1. Spot Clean

Use a damp cloth to gently wipe away dirt or stains. For tougher spots, a mild, eco-friendly soap or a mixture of water and vinegar works well. Be sure to test on a small, inconspicuous area first.

2. Avoid Harsh Chemicals
DO NOT use bleach, abrasive cleaners, or products containing alcohol, which can damage the material and alter the color.

3. Air Dry
After cleaning, let your handbag air dry naturally. Keep it away from direct heat sources, like radiators or sunlight, to prevent cracking or fading.

4. Storage
Stuff it up—When not in use, keep the bag in its original shape by gently stuffing it with tissue paper or a soft cloth. This will help preserve its form and prevent creasing.

Keep it cool—Store your handbag in a cool, dry place away from prolonged sunlight to maintain its appearance.

5. Additional Tips
Avoid overloading your bag to maintain its shape. If your bag has metal accents or hardware, periodically wipe them clean with a soft cloth to prevent tarnishing.

Bag Strap Care

To keep your straps looking fresh and durable, follow these easy steps:

1. Spot Clean
Lightly spray the strap with a mild spot cleaner to target any stains or spots.

2. Place in Mesh Sack
For machine washing, place your strap in a mesh laundry sack to protect it during the wash.

3. Wash on Warm
Wash on a warm cycle with like colors for the best results.

4. Air Dry
After washing, hang dry the strap away from direct sunlight to preserve its quality and shape.
